<병오년 1>
<The Year of the Fire Horse 1>

병오년, 붉은 말의 해
육십 년 만에 돌아왔다
2026년 말처럼 뛰자
The year of the fire horse, the year of the red horse,
Has returned after sixty years.
In 2026, let us run like a horse.

힘도, 건강도 있어야 하고
목적도, 할 일도 있어야
뛰리라
You must have strength and health.
You must also have a purpose and work to do.
Only then will you run.

땅의 것도
하늘 것도
뛰어야
네 희망 영원하리라
For both the things of the earth
And the things of the heavens,
You must run.

Only then will your hope last for eternity.

<병오년 2>
<The Year of the Fire Horse 2>

병오년
안 뛰면 병이 온다
뛰면 복이 온다
In the year of the fire horse,
If you do not run, illness will come.*
If you run, blessings will come.

연년 춘색도
때 지나면 끝이란다
Even the spring greenery that returns every year
Will come to an end once its time passes.

(*Translator’s note: There is a wordplay with 병오년 and 병이 온다. 병 means fire In 병오년 (year of the fire horse) and 병 in general means illness. 오년 sounds like 오면, which is a conjugation of the verb 오다 (to come).)
