<Happy Birthday, I Love You>

삼월 십오일 아침 일곱 시
창밖에서 까치가 강하게 짖는 소리가 들린다
창을 열고서 내다보니
창이 좁아 까치가 안 보인다
까치가 계속 짖어 들어 보니
“축하해요. 사랑해요.” 하는 말이다
At 7 a.m. on March 15,
I hear a strong cry of a magpie outside the window.
I open the window and look out,
But the window is narrow, so I cannot see the magpie.
As I keep listening to its cries,
It sounds like it is saying,
“Happy birthday. I love you.”

까치 짖는 소리가
“축하해요. 사랑해요.” 하는 말로
계속 반복해 들렸다
하나님, 성령님께
“알았어요. 사랑해요. 감사합니다.” 하니
까치는 날아가고 종일 다시 안 왔다 (킥)
I heard the sound of the magpie’s cry
That kept repeating as,
“Happy birthday. I love you.”
To God and the Holy Spirit,
I said, “I understand. I love you. Thank you.”
Then the magpie flew away and did not return all day (keke).

오늘 3.16 행사와 내 생일로 인해
모여든 섭리인 모두가
축하한다고 전해 주는 말임을 알았다고 하니
순간 까치가 창문 앞으로 날아감이 보였다
한 마리였다
‘일찍 온 자들은 지금쯤 월명동에 왔겠다.’ 생각할 때다
When I said I understood [its cry] as a message of wishing a happy birthday
From all the Providence members who have gathered
For today’s 316 event and my birthday,
I saw the magpie fly across the window right then.
There was just one.
It was a time when I thought, “Those who came early must have arrived at Wolmyeongdong by now.”

하나님, 성령님이 까치 보내서
인사하게 하였다
축하하고 사랑한다는 말이었다
God and the Holy Spirit sent the magpie
To deliver a greeting.
It was a message of saying happy birthday and that [They] love me.
