You Must Go Toward the Will of God
Main Scriptures :
Matthew 26:39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
Hallelujah!
Today, I will deliver the Word with this theme: “You must go toward the Will of God.”
◎ The Man of Mission and [his] followers must surely fulfill God’s will. Once God’s will is set, it does not change even if you offer fasting prayer. It is just that you who pray realize God’s will more deeply, and your heart and actions are transformed.
◯ If a person prays, God simply improves the path that they are walking toward God’s will, but He does not change the will [itself]. This is because that is the path pertinent to His will.
◯ Chased by Esau, Jacob ended up taking a path he did not want to take. On the way, he prayed throughout the night at Bethel, crying out that he was egregiously wronged and felt bitter frustration and indignation.
Even so, God did not allow Jacob to take even a single step back, toward his hometown in the west, on the path he had walked. God did not change the direction Jacob was heading just because he prayed. Instead, God said, “I am with you,” and propelled him further so that he would continue on the path he had traveled. God enabled him to rather hasten and go on his way with joy.
Ultimately, according to His will, God let Jacob meet his uncle’s daughter who would become his wife. He met her, on the way to his mother’s family, by a well in the wilderness where sheep were being tended. And according to God’s will, a dream of new joy, a dream of an ideal world, began to come true at his mother’s family’s house.
In every time period, God has worked in this way with His set will.
▶ Reference Scripture: Genesis Chapters 27–35
◯ When God takes action for a will, no matter how much a person fasts and pleads, its direction does not change. God just improves the path they take for the will. Therefore, no matter what anyone says, or even if you are inflicted with suffering and slandered, walking the path of God’s will is not suffering injustice.
◯ If you pray, God helps you realize His will, saying, “You must advance fulfilling My, God’s, will,” and enables you to walk that path of His will with joy and gratitude instead.
If you pray and act righteously, your heart and actions are transformed; therefore, you come to realize how good God’s will is. Only if you realize God’s will and change for the better can you escape that domain of [suffering]. It will be as if grubs and caterpillars are transformed, develop wings, and fly in the sky, thereby escaping their former domain.
In this way, the blessing God gives is:
“enabling you to be newly transformed
and thereby move from your own domain of suffering to a new domain.’
◯ Now is the time when God bestows grace and love [by which people can] escape the domain of the New Testament and transform for the better.
Being chased in the old era and thus transitioning to the new era—just as Jacob did—is a life of blessing.
Once an old time period comes to an end, God begins a new time period. In other words, it is a history of being transformed and reborn into a new era. The old era is a history like grubs and caterpillars. When a new time period comes, [people] transform by hearing the [new] Word and, as they fly around, they escape the domain of the old time period. This is God’s great grace of the new era.
At a time like this, we must live, heading toward where God’s Will and purpose are by praying and setting conditions.
◯ In Jesus’ time as well, the nation of that era and those waiting for the Messiah within the Law disbelieved [him]. Even so, if [Jesus] had asked God to judge them all in that state and destroy all the Old Testament history—which God had worked on for 4,000 years—[it would have meant that] God had to destroy His own history completely and end it. Then, Satan would have criticized and questioned that it ended without fulfilling the will God had worked for.
◯ Therefore, Jesus the Messiah decided [to take] the path of saving those who disbelieved him, and he walked that path. God made the Messiah walk the path of saving [the sinners] by sacrificing himself and bearing their guilt in place of them. Since those who had been waiting failed to fulfill their responsibility, God made the Messiah take on that responsibility on their behalf and walk the path of the cross, a path that had not been the original plan.
◯ At first, Jesus prayed he would avoid death and not [have to] drink the bitter cup. However, ultimately, he realized God’s will, asked that it be done according to God’s will, and walked straight ahead without looking back. He walked the path that he had been on with even greater glory.
We must understand this completely.
◯ In every era, the one sent by God took responsibility and opened up only the path of salvation, where everyone is saved, and then left. He made it so that anyone could be saved as long as they believe this. As the righteous one, he bore the guilt of sinners.
If you believe without knowing this, you will be tested and ask, “Why does God leave the savior like that?” And after attending church faithfully, you will stop coming and consequently lose your salvation. Do you understand?
◯ “Living according to [God’s] will,” this is:
- The way of salvation and a transformed life.
- In other words, it is a life that has escaped the past, the previous domain of your life.
- It is a reborn life, which a grub lives having transformed into a butterfly.
- It is breaking out of the life in which you did not develop your environment and then developing it to create a new environmental heaven and building a home to live in.
- It is a transformed life that fulfills the dreams and ideals you desire.
- And it is a life of coming to a new ideal world from the old times by transforming, and making [things] anew.
◎ God granted human beings a blessing of life: to relish the joy of living in a new way according to the time. Only if they do this can each person receive salvation and live rejoicing. No matter who it is, a person must do [things] in a new way for God’s will according to the time. Only then can they have joyful heaven of the heart and the body.
◯ The purpose of God’s will is to gain the ideal world. Even if the present is disastrously miserable because of injustice and the torment of death, if the end is God’s will, then it is the path of God’s will, where both a person’s spirit and body ultimately thrive. Even if there is no pain in the present, if the end is ultimately death and Hell, then a person is walking the path to Hell even in the present.
God and the Holy Spirit said, “Even if it brings hardship, you must walk the path of life. This is the will of Me, God, and the Holy Spirit.”
Even if you undergo suffering, you must first carry out God’s will in your life. Only then will the world of joy follow as a result. God created the laws of the universe, the earth, and all creation in heaven and earth in this way.
◯ People must endure the cold in winter and overcome suffering in order to welcome spring and live [in it]. People must endure the suffering of rainstorms, floods, and sweltering heat in summer while farming or running businesses. Only then can they welcome the cool autumn and reap golden crops and the various [fruits of] their toil. God created even the seasons in this way from the very beginning.
◯ I tell you that in the same way, God created the lives of human beings [to go on] with conditions and rewards. If you have committed a sin, you can be revived only if you repent. If someone fails to fulfill their responsibility, they can be revived only if someone else fulfills that responsibility on their behalf. With salvation as well, if you listen to the Word and follow but fail to do your responsibility, then the savior must bear the burden of your sin on your behalf. Only then can he save you.
With Providence, too, if [Providence people] die because they fail to fulfill their responsibility, the Man of Mission, Seonsang, must save them by sacrificing himself. If they are left alone, all the tremendous hard work done over [the last] half a century will be in vain. Sacrifice is the condition. When the condition is set, the problem is resolved as a reward.
◎ If you have enjoyed a heavenly season like autumn, you have to live through winter, the cold season, as well. However, even though the times and periods [of seasons] are set, if people study the environment as much as [the times] have advanced, they [can] live through winter keeping warm. Then they [can] live far less exposed to the suffering of the cold season.
◯ You must make an effort to improve [your domain] and live in it, so that you will lessen the suffering of that domain. Even though the seasons are predestined, you can set up better environments of your life. You can set it up to stay warm and live through winter.
The same is true of faith and your life. Therefore, do not just suffer, thinking everything is predestined, but instead live while fulfilling your responsibility. If you do, you will suffer less.
◯ Even though rainstorms and floods occur in summer, if you have prepared completely in advance, you do not live in anxiety. If you build a dam, you will rather take advantage of rain and floods to fill ponds, reservoirs, and lakes, and you will use [the water] over a long period of time, [including] when it does not rain or when there is a drought.
◯ Even if rain and wind are fierce, if you have built a sturdy house, you do not need to worry. Looking out at the torrential downpour through the window from inside the house, you will witness the grandeur of nature created by God and live savoring the joy and pleasure God grants. It is condition-and-reward.
◯ God makes it so that [humans] will see with both their eyes and
hearts the intensity of God’s creation and operation of heaven, earth, and all things,
and they will be filled with overflowing joy and be profoundly moved
to give glory to God and live believing in and loving only God.
Seeing how all creation works, [people] come to think, “I, too, should live like that.”
◯ The Holy Spirit said, “Do not be distressed to see persecution and tribulation arise, but realize God’s blessings that come through it and receive them.” According to that Word, all of us came to our senses and carried out the history of life during the tribulation, and we have gained numerous things both in faith and in other aspects.
On the contrary, if you live resenting the tribulation, you will only suffer more. Instead of thinking, “Is this God’s will?” and feeling egregiously wronged, you must live a life of reviving yourself and those who were saved with you.
◯ If you build a house poorly on dirt, you will be in the agony of terror when you see a torrential downpour, pelting rain, fiercely raging winds, or [sweeping] floods. Ultimately, the house will collapse, and your heart will also collapse. Then you will even resent God and go through the torment of Hell.
You must perfectly build a house on a rock with stones, steel, and concrete and live while taking control when natural phenomena occur according to the seasons.* The same applies to the times of tribulation in faith.
{Translation note: Literally, “the times”}
◯ The Holy Spirit said, “Be firm and strong. Be perfect. Did I not tell you that God works and helps you? With your life of faith, too, you must build a house on the rock of God and the Lord to live in it. Only then, even if you face suffering and tribulation on the path of fulfilling God’s Will of the era, will you live like a skier who is delighted to ski when winter comes.”
◯ Just as you would build a sturdy house with stones, wood, and steel and live in it, you must lead a strong life of faith. Only then will you be free from problems even if tribulations, persecutions, and suffering—that come with raging storms, winds, and floods—arise. You will rather feel more joy and ideal satisfaction through times of tribulation as you look out of the window.
◯ For me, Seonsang, too,
I suffered from cold, heat, and hunger ceaselessly even though I prayed so hard while praying in the mountains and evangelizing. That was disciplining and refining for a blessed future. Ultimately, I received ten-fold, a hundred-fold, and a thousand-fold reward for the suffering while saving lives.
I preached the Word of the time period to lives and thus enabled them to go to Heaven and live eternally, to receive salvation. How great is the work I have done? [Heaven] is now able to completely destroy God’s enemies—the devils, Satan, and human satans. How wonderful beyond measure this is! Since I overcame all the hardship and hunger in the mountains, I came to live receiving eternal rewards. Everyone who walks this path with me, Seonsang, is going [forward] having gained the ideal world.
◯ The Holy Spirit says, “Believe in and act only on this Word of truth. For those who have made their life of faith flawless and perfect, tribulation rather becomes an ideal, through which they gain joy, and they have full satisfaction from their achievements of the past.
“Make your life with faith, truth, and perfect love. Just as Wolmyeongdong is made to remain unchanged for a thousand years because it has been built with rocks, completely make yourselves firm and strong with the Word of truth. Despite torrential downpour, Wolmyeongdong has remained sturdy for 26 years, hasn’t it? You be the same. No matter what you see, make your heart courageous.”

◯ Those who did not build Wolmyeongdong together do not know how much pain we suffered during the construction. When we finished setting the rocks, they collapsed and broke, so our hearts crumbled. When we set the rocks again, layer after layer, they collapsed again without mercy. Nevertheless, I said to God, “We will do it again,” and we built it once more. As we repeated it five times, a very long period of time passed.
When we made it completely, [however,] it had become an ideal world. It is rewarding. People come from all over the world to see it. Now, there are no rocks and there is no time, so we cannot build like this again. It is a masterpiece built with rocks—the greatest in the global village.
Video 1 End
◯ If you had stopped walking the path of faith, saying it was filled with hardship like that, it would have resulted in failure. Even while believing in and following Seonsang, those who did not know said they felt let down by God, and asked, “Why is Seonsangnim walking that kind of path?” But as [you] followed to the end and saw, this was the path of prosperity, the path of life, wasn’t it?
◯ God has already made our faith firm and strong like this. He delivered dozens of sermons, encouraging us to make our faith as solid as Wolmyeongdong. All these are Words that God and the Holy Spirit give us.
If you absolutely believe in this era, believe in the truth, and live believing in God, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Son, Jesus, and Seonsang, then you are like Wolmyeongdong’s Ambition Masterpiece. God built the Ambition Masterpiece strongly to tell us, “Be like this.”
◯ In Wolmyeongdong, when it rains, becomes hot, and becomes cold,
the rocks will only become smoother, worn down nicely. Similarly, you, too, will be refined further through tribulation. All transformed people of Providence are* lives of the ideal world. You must make [yourselves] perfect. Then, even if rainstorms rage, those rainstorms will [just] brush by [you].
{Translation note: Alternatively, “have”}
◯ The Holy Son Rock, the Great Stone Face Rock, which is an image of Seonsang, the Camel Rock, and the Resurrection Rock all became smoother and water-polished as much as rainstorms raged and torrential rains poured down. It is the same with you. You were rough at first, but through tribulation you were refined, and everyone became smooth and nice.
◯ Even if you undergo hardship, it is best to follow the new time period and live receiving what pertains to it,
rather than living in the domain of death
while waiting with a desperate gaze within the former faith
without coming to the new era.
Even if you have to undergo hardship, you must follow the [new] era. Only then will you live as a person of Heaven.
If you fail to do so, your spirit will go to eternal darkness and suffer greatly along the way, [and then] eternally.
◯ The Holy Spirit speaks: “Since you live being refined and tempered, even the tribulation and the harsh world are [sources of] joy, aren’t they? Help and care for the young ones, whose faith is growing, until they reach perfection. The thousand-year Providence history that God is carrying out is flawless and perfect. Nevertheless, if you faced rain, wind, and snow blizzards without making yourselves completely, you would have to undergo all that suffering individually. Since all of you go through [the tribulation] having made yourselves sturdy in the past, how rewarding is it?
“As for those people of the old era, who live without having fulfilled their hopes and wishes, are still living the life of the domain of the old era. They do not know even as the old history passes and God carries out the promised new history; [they do not understand] even though they see and hear [it]. Those who have received [the new history] are holding a thousand-year banquet of faith among themselves, and they live serving God, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Son, and the Lord. Live comforting and loving one another.”
◯ I, Seonsang, am firm and strong, too. Just as I fulfilled peace, God’s will, on the battlefields when I went to Vietnam, and then returned, I fulfill and carry out only God’s will. Never forget this. I am always with you and praying for you. For those who believe and take action steadfastly, their problems become resolved. Those who do not take action because it is hard are in agony since they live without their problems being resolved.
◯ The Holy Spirit speaks: “Make your faith perfect and live without swaying. One who sways is like a reed, like John the Baptist. Therefore, they will fail. Be firm and strong like the Resurrection Rock erected in Wolmyeongdong’s Prayer Garden. I convey My Words to you, so that you will not stumble on account of Seonsang, just as John the Baptist did.”
◯ John the Baptist stumbled on account of Jesus when he saw him even though Jesus was walking [that path] for God’s will. If you stumble, there will be no blessing. You will [receive] blessings only if you do not stumble. God said, “Let us take action, without stumbling or losing heart for anything.”
◯ Joseph lived believing it was God’s will even while in prison. Because of that, a great wonder of becoming the prime minister happened. Ultimately, all those who criticized and questioned him knelt down. David was tormented by King Saul, but in the end, Saul knelt down before David through death. All 850 who criticized and questioned Elijah were ultimately defeated through death. Those who criticized and questioned Daniel were all brought to their knees through death. Haman surrendered through death before Esther. Those who criticized and questioned Jesus also all surrendered to Jesus in the end. God always works in this way.
◎ Today, I have delivered the Word that since God works only toward His will, it is God’s will [for us] to walk toward His will being steadfast without wavering.
I bless that you all will go toward God’s will with joy.
◯ At the end, God repays all those who have tormented the righteous and the followers of the [new] time period, according to their deeds and actions. From our side, we must walk the path we must walk while fulfilling God’s Will.
◯ You must not say you could not do it because someone was tormenting you. The Messiah, Jesus, helped fulfill the salvation of all people even by bearing the cross. If you do not take action despite that, [he] will say, “I opened the path of salvation for you by sacrificing [myself] and struggling,” and say, “You are worse than the wicked. The wicked failed because they disbelieved, but how is it that you did not know God’s will even while following, felt unloved, fell into temptation, and failed?”
◯ You must not stumble on account of me, Seonsang, but take action no matter what, following only [God’s] Will with an undivided heart. Amen.
I bid you the peace of the Holy Spirit’s love.
