Main Scriptures :
John 4:34 “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

Hallelujah!

On the Lord’s Day of this week, I gave you the Word with the theme, “You will succeed only if you do it in advance.” Today, I will deliver a message with the theme, “Do it with the heart and shimjeong of the one who asked you [to do it]”

◎ In the predawn—when I wrote this message—I had realized while praying: I should do what I myself need to do. If I cannot do it because I’m unwilling or [too] busy, I must complete it even by asking someone to do it instead of me. This is because there is no one else who has received the same mission as I* have.
{Translation note: Literally, “oneself”}

◯ God gives a mission to a person [He] loves. Therefore, God and the Holy Spirit will be pleased when the one who received the mission fulfills it. Each of you must do the work God has asked you to do. If you cannot, you should at least find someone who will do it with the same heart as yours and have them do it on your behalf.

◯ God, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Son, and Jesus all want their beloved one who received that mission to do it. Even if the person may fall short at times, they still want their beloved one to do it. God takes care of what they could not. He does because they are His beloved. It is because when the beloved one does it, it feels as if “I”* have done it. Therefore, you must always do it with the heart and shimjeong of the one who asked you to do it.
{Translation note: The one who gave the mission}

◯ Even if your heart is unwilling, if you do it when God asks you, [you doing it] becomes like God doing it, so He is delighted to see it. It is because God loves you that He has given you that work to be the person of mission.

When [God]* asks someone to do the work He Himself needs to do, it means, “Please do it on My behalf,” and it indicates that [He] wants to make the person His body. He [also] means, “Receive a blessing through this.”
{Translation note: The subject is “자기(self),” but it is not indicated who the “self” is. Based on the flow of the message, this paragraph is translated as pertaining to God.}

Therefore, when doing the work of the one who asked you to do it, you must always do it with their heart and thoughts.

◯ God is spirit, so when He does His work, He asks [people] in the flesh. Among them, He especially has His beloved one carry it out.

This is why God had me, Seonsang, do all the core works of Wolmyeongdong, which is God’s temple and palace, even though I had to go through such hardships and sufferings.

◯ When you are given a task, you must do it with the shimjeong of the one who asks you to it.

  • If God asks, you must do it with God’s heart.
  • If the Holy Spirit asks, you must do it with the Holy Spirit’s heart and thoughts.
  • If the Holy Son and Jesus ask you to do it, you must do it with the heart and mind of the Holy Son and Jesus.

If a person does it with their own heart, it is working with themselves at the center as the owner. Such a person is a stranger and hired hand. Then, they will ultimately come to stop midway and be driven out.

(John 10:11-12) “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.”

◯ Furthermore, when doing the work, you must do it according to the design and plan of the one who gave you the work. They did not ask for your service so that you would actualize what is in your [own] heart and thoughts, but rather fulfill their will and purpose. Therefore, you should carry it out with the mind and shimjeong of the one who requested it, while constantly asking their soul and spirit. Only then will it become an artwork of the one who gave the order, and it will fulfill their purpose.

◯ If we love and love and love the Lord, we must do the work that the Lord desires for him.

(John 21:15-17) ‘So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.”‘

[God] gave you the work because [He] wanted to bless you; therefore, you will receive the blessing only if you do it according to His heart and thoughts just as He requested. It must always be done according to the method and purpose of the one who asked it. Only then will you be joyful while doing it, and joyful after finishing it as well. If you do not make it according to the Owner’s will, He will find someone else who will do it according to His will and give the work to them.

◎ When developing Wolmyeongdong, at first, I tried to develop it according to my own intentions and will. Since many people were coming, I planned to build concrete steps on the sports field. At that time, God gave me a design, [saying,] “If you do it this way, it will look so unsightly that you won’t be able to bear it. Set it with rocks beautifully, grandly, and mysteriously.” In fact, what has been set today was what God showed me through the spiritual world at that time, saying, “Set them like this.”

◯ Even though God spoke these words, I set small rocks at first because there were no [other] rocks. I set them thinking they were big, but looking back now, I was building it with small rocks.

◯ In the very beginning, since I, Seonsang, could not do it myself because I had never experienced setting rocks before, I had veteran experts come to do the job. I showed them today’s image of Wolmyeongdong’s Ambition Masterpiece—which God had shown me in the spiritual world and I drew [on a piece of paper]—and I told them, “Please set them like this.” In response, they said, “These kinds of large boulders cannot be set up because it’s dangerous. Such rocks cannot be stacked. Even if we made it, they wouldn’t look nice. It’ll be unsightly.” They asserted their own logic and experiences. This is what the veteran rock landscapers,* who were the best in Korea, said.
{Translation note: Literally, “setters” or “stackers”}

◯ In the end, when I reported to God that situation, God said, “You heard My design, I showed you My design, and I told you, ‘Set them like this.’ Since you saw it, shouldn’t you be the one to do it?”

At this, I prayed, thinking, “We have already contracted with the experts from the world, so we have to do it through them. What should I do? It’s hard to break the contract. Even if we could break it, it would cause losses…”

After that, strangely, it kept raining. They complained they couldn’t work because of the rain. They grumbled, “We are doing the work of those who believe in God, but why does it keep raining only here?” After a while, they canceled the contract themselves and left.

◯ Ultimately, I, Seonsang—the one who saw God’s design, the one whom God asked to do the work—built the Ambition Masterpiece together with God. Because the Man of Mission of God, God’s beloved one, did the work, he set the rocks while asking God each and every thing and while thinking about God’s design, blueprints, and plans seen in the spiritual world. He built the Ambition Masterpiece that way even as many as six times without giving up. Furthermore, he continuously rearranged it until it became what it is today.

Also, I made every area of Wolmyeongdong just as God had initially shown to me in His design, while asking God, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Son, and Jesus. The more I worked asking God, the more I mastered the skills. So I totally became an expert as I continued to build it.

◯ For over 30 years, people worked in groups of 100, 300, or 500 a day to develop it. We set large boulders using heavy machinery. Heavy machinery does work that requires 100 or 1,000 people’s labor in a day. Large rocks that even a thousand people could not handle were done with heavy machinery. Dump trucks endlessly hauled rocks, brought in soil, and carried [other rocks and dirt] away. They transported loads tens of thousands of times. Several pieces of heavy machinery were used every day. Since a single piece of heavy machinery does the work of 100 to 1,000 people, that alone amounts to the work of thousands to tens of thousands of people. Hundreds of people did other work each day.

◯ Now, it must be managed well. To take care of the pine trees and clear up the weeds throughout Wolmyeongdong, thousands to tens of thousands of people are needed. Since God has given us what is precious, we must manage it well.

◯ Wolmyeongdong is an enormous temple and palace of God. From the east to the west, it is all God’s palace. Inside it, you do everything including taking walks and hiking. In the summer, thousands of people can wash and play in the water simultaneously. There are also many annexes with Wolmyeongdong as the center. This is the vast foundation of the millennium history, the history of God. It has become an immense place visited by a million people every year.

In the future, thousands of people will come daily. As many as ten million people will visit in a year. God shows what He has formed through His beloved, the Man of Mission, and through this, God enables people to witness the new history. He works in all sorts of ways while doing so.

◯ Whether it is any subsequent development and management of Wolmyeongdong, leading a church, running a business, or doing any other thing; if you do it just as God commanded through the Man of Mission, then it will become as grand, beautiful, and mysterious as the Wolmyeongdong of today.

While working, you must not do it being self-centered. You must put into action nothing other than the ideas of the Omniscient and Omnipotent God. This applies to the body and applies to the world of the spirit, the world of faith as well. If you act according to your own will, your will alone is fulfilled; therefore, it will end in the physical world. You must do it solely according to God’s design. Only then will both the body and the spirit fulfill God’s will; therefore, it will be mysterious, grand, beautiful, and eternal.

◎ The types of revelations include dream and reality revelations.

  • Reality revelations show what is actually being done in reality.
  • Dream revelations show what you are doing through symbolism in dreams as phenomena, although they are not seen in reality. You get to see the given revelations supernaturally in dreams.

◯ When we were actually working on developing Wolmyeongdong, the reality was so vivid that there was no need to show the phenomenon in a dream. The reality itself was a dream.

If something is shown as a symbol in a dream, it has to be interpreted, so it is more complex sometimes. For reality, there is no need to interpret it. Reality is more vivid than a dream. Therefore, if you know the reality, [God] does not deliberately show [a revelation] through a dream.

If you do well in reality, you are also shown as prosperous in your dream. Therefore, rather than just trying to have good dreams, you can do well, do ideally, in your waking life. Then you will have good dreams. Thus, putting things into practice itself is a dream.

◯ For example, if you listen to the Word and repent in your waking life, a revelation of washing and cleaning is shown in a dream. Reality is more [important] than a dream.

If you listen to the Word on a grand scale and rejoice in your waking life, eating abundant food is shown as a parable in a dream. If you know the reality, there is no need to see things in dreams, which may be tiring. This is because even if you see them, you have to interpret them. Reality is [more important] than dreams.

If a person loves and joyfully follows God, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Son, and the Lord in their waking life, they sometimes dream of dating as a metaphor. It is shown through a parable to say, “This is what it is like”

◯ Even though God is carrying out His will, [some] do not know the reality because they are foolish. So God is showing a revelation through a dream, saying, “This is what it is like.” Please realize this. Right now, the things that each of you desires are being fulfilled. At times, God gives revelations to warn you to be careful.

◯ If you fought against the wicked and triumphed in your waking life, even if you don’t dream about it, it is the same as having dreamed of [you] catching and killing a snake or a harmful* beast. Therefore, there is no need to feel regret just because you had a dream and forgot it. A dream is merely a symbolic revelation that shows matters from your waking life through parables, which differ from the action [you did in the dream].
{Translation note: Literally, “bad”}

◯ If a person commits a filthy act in their waking life, since they do not know because they are foolish, God shows it as something filthy in a dream to give the revelation, “Fix it immediately.”

Suppose you picked up large chestnuts in a dream. If you perceive it spiritually and ask, “What is this?” it is a parable for the Word. It is a revelation that the Word is a delicacy like a chestnut.

[You should pay more attention to] reality than a dream. Because a person, being foolish, does not understand what they did during the day, God shows it to them one more time in a dream from a spiritual perspective.

◯ In this way, you dream in parables, which indicate that the details of what was done during the day are like that. Other [things seen in dreams] are activities of the life that your soul or spirit lived in the spiritual world.

Sometimes, the thoughts of the brain may act on their own, thus making it feel as though you had a dream. That is why there are many meaningless dreams. If a person has complex thoughts in their brain in their waking life, they will have complex and chaotic, meaningless dreams.

If you learn about “dreams” and master them, you will become an expert and understand them well.

◯ A revelation given by God comes occasionally. In particular, if you act following your own desires, even if He shows the reality in your waking life, you do not realize or feel it. Therefore, God shows it through a dream to make you realize.

◎ While a truckload of sand is transported, dozens or hundreds of grains of sand fall to the road. If you stop to pick up all those grains of sand, you cannot build a large building. That does not hinder the construction of the building. On the contrary, you will get into an accident on the road while trying to gather up the sand. Likewise, if you pay attention only to one person just because you feel sorry for them, you cannot accomplish a greater work. There are always collateral issues during a massive project. It is the same in the history of Providence.

◯ When a person acts according to their own desires or thoughts, they enjoy doing it even if they suffer losses. Psychologically, if it is something their heart likes and wants, they do it even if it is harmful. That is why people gamble, fight, or steal. If a person only acts according to their desire, they will run into major trouble and suffer the torment of hell.

◯ Not being able to fix one’s contradictions is a mental illness. The more a person fails to fix their contradictions, the more they want to do things as they please. Whether big or small, people want to do what they desire according to the constitutions and mindset they have formed. Therefore, both young and old drink alcohol, take drugs, smoke, and do all sorts of things as they desire. Even though they suffer all kinds of harm as a result, they do it gladly. Even though they like wrong actions and so commit them, other people do not recognize those actions as right.

◯ Even if you wrote characters nicely, you must erase the wrong words and write again, even if the new version may not look as good as the previous one. Then, your heart will feel satisfied and joyful. Similarly, no matter how much you like your own life, you should immediately crush whatever is wrong and act rightly now. An unrighteous life that brings harm is like filthy water that rises up to your neck; it is like holding a knife against your throat and stabbing it.

◯ Incorrectly written characters can be used only by the one who wrote it. Unlawful and unrighteous deeds are enjoyed only by those who commit them. Because they enjoy it, no matter how wrong the deeds are, their hearts and bodies keep committing them since the unrighteous deeds became their constitutions. Eventually, they gradually go down the path of disaster, the path of death and destruction. Once they enter Death that way, they cannot be found even if you look for them.

◯ Whatever is wrong must be corrected. You must not avoid it. Things will not work out even for a king if he does not take action. Things will not come true even for a hero if he only shouts. Jesus, the Messiah sent by God, also took action. Only when he took action was there fulfillment.

(Matt. 25:26) But his lord answered and said to him, “You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.”

Even God had to take action, either through the Word or in reality, for things to be done.

◯ Both creation and humans must take action for work to be done. Has there ever been anything fulfilled just by making a resolution or just by thinking about it without action? The spiritual world is a realm in which “thoughts become realities,” an automatic world, where things happen even just by thinking. However, the physical world is a manual world. You must act. Things are done only as much as you do it.

◯ A person of power can bring things about even by just speaking. As for me, Seonsang, since I have power, I proclaim according to that power. Then some things come true immediately, while other things happen when their times come. I hope that each of you will likewise proclaim with spoken words to the nation, its people, and the world.

◯ When carrying something out, both your speech and action must be definite. The characters you write, too, must be definite even if they are small in size. Only then will [a reader] understand. Likewise, your speech and action must be clear and certain. Then, what you do will come true, so that your hard work will not be in vain.

◯ This applies to both writing the Word and delivering the Word. The one who directly receives, writes, and relays a certain message knows what it means. So even if the writing is not great or the speech is soft, they themselves know what those written or spoken words mean. However, for those who hear the relayed message, it is their first time [hearing it], so they can understand it only if it is written clearly and perfectly and spoken definitely.

Especially concerning a message, anything that is not properly composed must definitely be redone. It has to be created anew altogether. Incorrectly expressing and delivering the received Word becomes a sin instead. Do not try to just deliver a lot [of messages]. Instead, prepare well the Word you have received as if preparing the finest food, and deliver it.

◯ Those who hear the Word must also understand it properly as they listen. The Word becomes reality and lives on. You should focus on listening properly more than listening a lot. When the Word is given, you must read it repeatedly, over and over again. You must know it properly by reading it again and again, and act upon it. Only then can you fulfill the will [contained in the message].

◯ When you make numerous attempts, you will find what is ideal, learn [it], and do it. It is about taking action with grit.

◎ Continuing from the last Lord’s Day message, I have spoken today on the theme, “Do it with the heart and shimjeong of the one who asked you to do it” with the following as the core: God gave you a mission and work because He has a will, saying, “Let’s love [each other] and use it together.” That mission and work must be done by you. If you take action in reality, no revelation is needed at all. There is work that each one of you must do in advance. Carry it out yourself and gain [things], and enjoy them together with the Lord. I speak while looking at the time period.”

I bid you the peace of the Holy Spirit’s love.
