Welcome to Unlock the Bible

We are a South African-based online community dedicated to making scripture accessible, engaging, and deeply personal through interactive online study.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to help people unlock the profound truths of the Bible in a welcoming, supportive environment. We know that reading the Bible alone can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Whether you have been reading the scriptures your whole life, or you are opening a Bible for the very first time, there is a seat at the table for you here.

How We Study (What to Expect)

We don’t just broadcast lectures; we build community.
Our core offering is our Live Online Zoom Meetings.

Interactive Sessions: We read the Word, ask questions, and share insights together.
Safe Environment: We prioritize respect and kindness, ensuring our online space is a safe place to ask “silly” questions and grow at your own pace.
Accessible Anywhere: Because we meet via Zoom, you can join our community from the comfort of your own home, anywhere in South Africa (or the world!).

Our Approach to Scripture

We believe that the Bible is a living, breathing text meant to be understood and applied to our daily lives. At Unlock the Bible, our primary focus is on the text itself.

Non-denominational: We are a non-denominational community. We focus on the core historical tenets of the Christian faith, choosing to major on the majors and unite around the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Scripture-focused: We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Our studies focus on context, historical background, and practical application, allowing the scripture to speak for itself.

Meet Unlock the Bible

We started Unlock the Bible in 2016 with a passion to see people fall in love with God’s word. We have had groups of 2, and groups of 70 that shared the love for the Word of God. Over the decade the community have become our family as we all share a deep passion for the Word.

What is the interesting logo to the site?

It represents the perfect character of a person of God.

The outside circle: The outside of us, which is our interaction with others, should be round and soft like a circle. Words should bounce off, and no one should be poked, or get hurt from our words and/or actions.
The middle square: It is the heart and mind of a person. This should be strong, rigid, and steadfast. It is the faith and endurance that allows you to overcome adversities and persecution.
The inner triangle: This is the core of the person. It is your philosophy, ideology, and belief system. This is how you handle yourself. You should be sharp and strict to yourself. Cutting all bad and unrighteous parts like with the sharp edges of a triangle.
